The Bolzano Foxes survived a determined comeback attempt by the Val Pusteria Lupi on the way to a 3-2 win.

Bolzano made the score 3-1 on a goal by Jordan Knackstedt at 9:31 in the third period, and Val Pusteria got as close as 3-2 when Ryan Watson scored 11:45 into the third period.

The Foxes got the win with help from a great game by Knackstedt, who had two goals and one assist. Knackstedt scored the first of his two goals at 13 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Bolzano. Alexander Egger provided the assist. Knackstedt's next tally made the score Bolzano with 10:29 left in the third period. Christian Borgatello assisted on the tally.

Bolzano also got a goal from Stefano Giliati as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bolzano were MacGregor Sharp, who had two.

The Lupi's offense operated below they season average. Val Pusteria puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game.

The Lupi were led by Nate DiCasmirro, who tallied one goal and one assist. DiCasmirro scored 2:45 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Thomas Erlacher provided the assist. More assists for Val Pusteria came via Lukas Tauber and David Ling, who contributed one a piece.

Matthew Zaba rejected 33 shots on goal for Bolzano. The Foxes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Mikko Stromberg recorded 21 saves for Val Pusteria. The Lupi incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
