Val Pusteria uses early goal to top Alleghe, 4-2Leitner Solar Arena Tue, Mar 20, 2012 Patrick Bona gave the Val Pusteria Lupi the lead in the first period, and the Alleghe Civette was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2. Bona provided Val Pusteria with the game-winning tally when he scored 16:55 into the the first period. Thomas Erlacher picked up the assist.David Ling had two goals and one assist to lead the Lupi. Ling scored the first of his two goals at 2:51 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Max Oberrauch provided the assist. Ling's next tally made the score 4-2 Val Pusteria with 9:00 left in the second period. Giulio Scandella assisted on the tally. Val Pusteria's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Alleghe power plays. Other players who recorded assists for Val Pusteria were Christian Willeit and Nate DiCasmirro, who contributed one a piece. Alleghe found itself short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. The Civette were helped by Nicola Fontanive, who racked up one goal. Fontanive scored 3:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Alleghe. Alleghe also got a goal from Joni Haverinen as well. More assists for Alleghe came via Manuel Da Tos and Manuel De Toni, who each chipped in one. Mikko Stromberg made 20 saves for the Lupi on 22 shots. Val Pusteria incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Adam Dennis rejected 32 shots on goal for Alleghe.
