Ritten squeaks by Vipiteno, 3-2Ritten Arena Tue, Mar 13, 2012 The game between Ritten and the Vipiteno Broncos was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Ritten emerged with a 3-2 win. Ritten gained the winning advantage on a goal by Emanuel Scelfo 5:48 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Scelfo had a great game for Ritten, netting two goals. Ritten stifled Vipiteno's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brad Farynuk also scored for Ritten. More assists for Ritten came via Matteo Rasom and Chris Blight, who each chipped in one and Scott May and Lorenz Daccordo, who contributed two a piece. The Broncos' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Ritten power plays. Vipiteno was helped by Ryan Ginand, who tallied two goals. Ginand scored the first of his two goals at 15:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ritten. Markus Gander provided the assist. Ginand's next tally made the score 2-2 with 4:04 left in the second period. Agris Saviels assisted on the tally. In addition, Vipiteno received assists from Randall Gelech, who had two.
