Henrich's big game bests Pontebba in 7-4 Alleghe win

Adam Henrich had two goals and two assists to lead the Alleghe Civette to a 7-4 victory over the Pontebba Aquile FVG.

Henrich's tallies came at 2:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alleghe and 7:12 into the second to make the score 3-2 Alleghe.

Alleghe outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Civette average 3.7 goals per contest. Alleghe's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Pontebba's power play unit. The Civette could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Alleghe also got points from Jani Forsstrom, who also registered one goal and one assist and Jari Monferone, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Alleghe also had goals scored by Nicola Fontanive, who had one and Daniele Veggiato, who had two. More assists for Alleghe came via Greg Hogeboom, who had three, Mike Card, Markku Tahtinen, and Joni Haverinen, who each chipped in one, and Michael Schutte and Vincent Rocco, who contributed two a piece.

The defensemen of the Aquile FVG were also effective in Alleghe's zone, and came away with four goals. Pontebba could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Aquile FVG were led by Jakob Milovanovic, who finished with two goals. Milovanovic scored the first of his two goals at 11:37 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tommy Goebel picked up the assist. Milovanovic's next tally made the score 4-3 Pontebba with 5:57 left in the second period. Brian Stephen Ihnacak provided the assist. Pontebba also got a goal from Nick Anderson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pontebba were Patrick Iannone and Patrick Rizzo, who each chipped in one.

The Civette's starting goalie, Adam Dennis, made 24 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Davide Fontanive, who stopped one shot. Alleghe registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Alex Petizian rejected 25 shots on goal for Pontebba.
