Cortina and the Valpellice Bulldogs were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cortina made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Jonas Johansson secured the win for Cortina with a goal in the third period.

Johansson had two goals to lead Cortina to victory.

Cortina also got a goal from Rob Hennigar as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cortina were David Bowman, Ryan Menei, Michele Zanatta, and Francesco Adami, who contributed one a piece and Curtis Fraser and Paul Baier, who each chipped in two.

Jean Philippe Levasseur made 35 saves for Cortina on 38 shots. Cortina incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Steve Valiquette recorded 41 saves for Valpellice. The Bulldogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
