Pontebba rips Alleghe, 6-1Claudio Vuerich Sat, Mar 03, 2012 The Pontebba Aquile FVG had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Alleghe Civette. Pontebba was led by goalie Alex Petizian, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Petizian will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest. The Aquile FVG were led by Davide Anthony Nicoletti, who registered one goal. Pontebba was often in penalty trouble, as it ended with 13 minors and two majors for 86 minutes in penalty time. The Aquile FVG were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of nine man advantages. Pontebba also got points from Patrick Iannone, who also had two goals and one assist, Kevin Devergilio, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Brian Stephen Ihnacak, who also registered one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Pontebba were Nick Anderson, who had two, Tommy Goebel, who had three, and Luca Rigoni, Jakob Milovanovic, and Matt Waddell, who contributed one a piece. Alleghe could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 59 minutes in penalties during the game. For Pontebba, Ihnacak and Waddell were ejected from the contest. The Civette's starting goalie, Adam Dennis, made 22 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Davide Fontanive, who stopped five shots. Alleghe registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The Civette ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Henrich was ejected from the game.
