Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Michele Ciresa's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. Hockey Milano Rossoblu's power play was ineffective against HC Neumarkt Egna's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Wild Goose were sparked by Ciresa, who tallied one goal. HC Neumarkt Egna was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances.
