HC Eppan uses shootout to best Hockey Milano Rossoblu, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Philipp Platter scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the HC Eppan Pirates picked up the extra point in a 3-2 (1-0 SO) win over Hockey Milano Rossoblu.

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout.

HC Eppan came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Pirates was down 2-1 after a goal by Hockey Milano Rossoblu's Marcello Borghi at 13:44 in the third period. HC Eppan knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Peter Campbell at 16:48 in the third period.

Campbell had two goals to lead the Pirates to victory.

Other players who recorded assists for HC Eppan were Jonathan Coleman, Fabian Ebner, and Tobias Ebner, who each chipped in one.

The Hockey Milano Rossoblu penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Hockey Milano Rossoblu surpassed its season average of 25.0 penalty minutes per game.
