Rob Hennigar gave Cortina a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Valpellice Bulldogs when he scored 10:36 into the extra period.

Hennigar was all over the ice for Cortina, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

Valpellice's power play was ineffective against Cortina's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Cortina could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

Cortina also got points from Ryan Menei, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Cortina also got a goal from Ryan Dingle as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cortina were Curtis Fraser, Giorgio De Bettin, Luca Felicetti, and Luca Zandonella, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 16 penalty minutes.

Jean Philippe Levasseur rejected 42 shots on goal for Cortina. Cortina registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Valpellice's Steve Valiquette stopped 41 shots out of the 45 that he faced.
