Ryan Ginand gave the Vipiteno Broncos a 4-3 (OT) victory over Fassa when he scored 5:00 into the extra period.

Vipiteno got the win behind a great game by Ginand, who had two goals and one assist. Ginand scored the first of his two goals at 11:38 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Vipiteno. Markus Gander assisted on the tally. Ginand's next tally made the score 4-3 Vipiteno with 15:00 left in overtime.

Vipiteno also got points from Gander, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ginand, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Fabian Hackhofer also scored for Vipiteno. In addition, Vipiteno received assists from Josh Prudden, who had two and Simon Baur and Paolo Bustreo, who each chipped in one.

Fassa was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Diego Iori, who totaled 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one misconduct.

Thomas Tragust made 22 saves for the Broncos on 25 shots. Vipiteno incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Francis Doyle turned away 32 pucks between the pipes for Fassa. Fassa registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
