Arizona rides Engelage to victory over St. Charles, 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Andrew Engelage helped the Arizona Sundogs defeat the St. Charles Chill, 4-1.

Arizona was led by Kevin Baker, who tallied one goal and one assist. Baker scored 5:38 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Arizona. David Rutherford picked up the assist.

The Sundogs put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.6 they average per game.

Arizona also got points from Rutherford, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Arizona also had goals scored by Shawn Limpright and Johan Ryd, who scored one goal each. More assists for Arizona came via Matt McCready, who had two and Bryan Cameron, Jason Morgan, and Brandon Coccimiglio, who contributed one each.

St. Charles' offense was clicking better than usual and put 28 shots on goal during the game, better than the 19.7 shots per game it averages.

The Chill were led by Ryan Berard, who scored the team's only goal. Berard scored 3:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Charles.

Andrew Engelage made 27 saves for Arizona on 28 shots. The Sundogs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Linus Lundin rejected 25 shots on goal for St. Charles. The Chill incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
