The Brampton Beast pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Quad City Mallards on a clutch goal by Andrew Fournier. Rob Collins had one goal and two assists to lead Brampton. Collins scored 2:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brampton. Jason Pitton picked up the assist. Quad City's power play was ineffective against the Beast's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. By firing 39 shots on goal, the Beast exceeded the 27.8 shots they average per game this year. Brampton also got points from Fournier, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
