The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees took home the win against the Wichita Thunder, 5-2. The win moved Rio Grande Valley to down 2-1 in the best of seven series. The Killer Bees were helped by Cody Carlson, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Carlson scored 14:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Rio Grande Valley. Brady Leavold provided the assist. Others who scored for Rio Grande Valley included Aaron Lee, who had two and Zac Pearson and Dan Gendur, who scored one goal each. More assists for Rio Grande Valley came via Jason Dixon, who had two and Tomas Klempa, Mike Wilson, and Craig Lineker, who contributed one a piece.
