Rapid City downs Evansville, 6-3

Rapid City took home the win against the Evansville IceMen, 6-3.

Rapid City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Evansville power plays. Rapid City surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Rapid City averages 3.5 goals per contest.

Rapid City was helped by Jesse Schultz, who registered one goal and one assist. Schultz scored 12:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Rapid City. Collin Circelli provided the assist. Rapid City also got points from Anthony Perdicaro, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Scott Wray, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Les Reaney, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Shawn Limpright, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jordan Behler also scored for Rapid City. More assists for Rapid City came via Garrett Gruenke, Jeff Kyrzakos, Dominic DAmour, and Konrad Reeder, who contributed one a piece.

Evansville's defensemen bolstered the IceMen's offensive attack, as they bombarded Tim Boron with 14 shots. With 34 shots on target during the contest, Evansville exceeded the 26.7 shots it averages per game this year.

The IceMen were helped by John Ronan, who tallied one goal. Ronan scored 16:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Evansville. Evansville also got a goal from Luke Stauffacher as well. Other players who recorded assists for Evansville were Matt Gens, who had two and Todd Robinson and Nicklas Lindberg, who each chipped in one.

Rapid City's Boron stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Rapid City incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pier-Olivier Pelletier recorded 22 saves for Evansville. The IceMen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
