Brian McMillin gave Allen the lead in the first period, and the Laredo Bucks was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2. Allen took over the lead for good with a goal by McMillin at 11:33 in the first period. Jeff Martens assisted on the tally.Brett Clouthier had two goals to lead Allen to victory. Clouthier scored at 7:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 5:03 into the second to make the score 3-1 Allen. Allen stifled Laredo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Allen put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24.1 it averages per game. Joshua Hepditch also scored for Allen. In addition, Allen received assists from Nick Layton, who had two, Colton Yellow Horn, who had three, and Tyler Ludwig and Dylan King, who contributed one a piece. The Bucks' defensemen bolstered Laredo's offensive attack, as they bombarded Marco Cousineau with 15 shots.
