The Pirates dropped game 2 with a 7–4 loss against NJIT, who rallied from an early deficit behind a hat trick from Sal Micciche and a 34-save performance from goaltender Noah Gibb.

Seton Hall came out firing, capitalizing twice on the man-advantage in the second period to grab a 4–2 lead. However, NJIT found its rhythm late in the frame and carried that momentum into the third.

Despite outshooting NJIT 38–21, the Pirate proved unlucky — clanking 3 shots off posts. A bright side for Seton Hall was their strong special-teams showing; however, defensive breakdowns in their own zone caused the second half collapse. Both goaltenders faced several odd-man rushes as NJIT stole a win away from the Pirates yesterday evening.
