ASU ACHA Program Announces 2018 Prospect Camps

Date:  Source: Arizona State University Club Hockey

The Arizona State University Sun Devils ACHA hockey program is happy to announce that they will be having not one but two prospect camps in this off season leading into the 2018-2019 season! In the past we have only have one camp in the spring but in the spirit of growing hockey out West we have decided to have a second camp in the summer. Both camps invite players from all back grounds from high school to high level juniors.

Our First camp will be held on April 13 through April 15 th at our home rink Oceanside Ice Arena in Tempe, AZ. This camp will include meeting the coaching staff, a camp jersey, a practice with the coaching staff, and three highly competitive games against other future Sun Devils as well as returning Sun Devils. In addition to the hockey side of things you will also be introduced to campus with a campus tour led by the coaching staff and former players. This tour will give you inside access to real student life experiences and allow you to have any questions you might have answered. “We wanted to make sure that the camp was going on while school was still in session so that players could get a feel for what campus is really like when it’s filled with 80,000+ undergrad students because it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before on one of the nicest campuses in the country” said Head Coach Josh Brown on why camp is earlier this year! The cost of this camp is $300 and can be paid for through the website. This is an elite camp and the program is excited to see what talent lies ahead this year!

In addition to our camp in Arizona, we will also be having a second prospect camp in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Minnesota Wild’s brand new practice facility, the TRIA rink in the Treasure Island Center from June 15th - June 17th . “We are very excited to be hosting our first ever out of state prospect camp this year because we think it can really help grow the program, especially since Minnesota has such a great hockey community and is more centrally located for a lot of players who haven’t yet considered a future out West!” assistant coach Chad Bailey said when asked about his thoughts on the Minnesota prospect camp. This camp will be $225 and can also be paid through the website and will include meeting the
coaching staff, a Q and A session with staff, a practice with the coaching staff, and 2 games (possibly 3). The program looks forward to seeing what this second camp can do in growing the program for its future Arizona State Sun Devils!
