Newcomer Gardner fitting in with Bruins' game plan

ALPENA, Mich. - At the Northern Lights Arena in Alpena, the host Flyers took a 5-1 decision from the Berkley Bruins Friday night to open a three-game weekend series.
Jared Kwiatkowski scored once with two assists, while Brandon Bihn added a goal and an assist and Brett Farley, Garret Bailey and Reed Hamp all tallied single goals.
Sam Charboneau pitched in a pair of assists and Brett LeTourneau finished with 36 saves in goal.
For the Bruins, Cristian Purdom scored the lone goal and goaltenders Brent Gaddy and Hunter Myers combined to make 26 saves.
The two teams play again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
