The dynamic backcourt of Mike Cole and Chris Shalvoy combined for 41 points and 11 assists as the undefeated These Guys Again took out The Shield, 76-62. 

    On paper, it did not looked like this contest would not be very competitive. In Week 1, These Guys looked like the most impressive squads in the CSL with their double digit victory over the talented Tip Squad, while The Shield dropped there first game against Pippen in unevenful action. Additionally, the Shield was going to have to go without CSL Fall league standout Jamel Williams. 

    But for most of the contest The Shield stuck close to These Guys on the strength of newcomer guard Peale Olatunji's instant offense. Peale did not face a shot he didn’t like en route to a 22 point performance. Makeem Leonard also had a nice game with 18 points and 7 rebounds. 

    However, These Guys also got contributions from a few CSL newcomers on their frontline. Forwards Darius Lorenzen scored 20 and Ricky Hope added 10 rebounds. They feasted on Shield’s front line. These Guys guard Josh Blackwell upped his aggressiveness from his first game and added 10. He may be the quickest player in the CSL

    The game got out of hand late, but with 5 minutes to go, Shield had trimmed the league down to 4 points. However, These Guys stayed extremely composed at the end, forced turnover after turnover and put together a quality shot in just about every possession late in the game. It resulted in a big win.
