Last Season: David, coming off  two sports hernia surgeries, had glimpses of greatness.  Despite going through everything with the surgeries and missing his entire off-season training, Roy showed just how good he is going to be. The big centerman showed his high skill level and ability at times to completely turn games around.  At the RBC Cup he showed at the National Level what he can bring while scoring 3 times and assisting on 5 for 8 points in 5 RBC games. David played for Team Canada East in the 2009 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge … played for Team East in the 2009 Canadian Junior ‘A’ Hockey League Prospect’s Game … rated in the ‘B’ Class for the 2009 NHL Central Scouting early season ‘watch list’.
More on Roy:  … recorded 10 goals, 13 assists as a rookie in 29 games during the 2008-09 season with the Brockville Braves of the CJHL … won rookie of the month for October … sidelined for the remainder of the season, along with 10 games of the 2009-10 season with two sports hernias … is currently in 12th grade at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville, Ontario.  David played his minor hockey for the Cumberland Barons until his Minor Midget season when ‘AAA’ was installed in the Ottawa region, he then played for the Eastern Ontario Wild for his last season of minor hockey
