Last Season: Colin was exceptional for the Braves.  He can be considered one of the top two- way centers in the league.  MacLean is a true Iron Man and a fan favorite with his tremendous work ethic, physical play and never -quit attitude. The speedy center killed more penalties successfully for the Braves than you could shake a stick at.  Without hesitation he will go to the danger zones on the ice with grit.  He can be relied upon at key moments in a game and was a fixture on the penalty kill.  MacLean brings something to the team that is not measured in stats, he is perceived as a "Heart and Soul" player who elevates the play of his teammates.  MacLean's on ice leadership helps shape the Braves team identity.  He demonstrated his offensive side by being among the tournament point leaders at the Fred Page Cup. His character showed as he played injured for the entire Eastern Canadian Championship and RBC Cup National Championships giving his all every shift.
More on MacLean: Fifth Junior ‘A’ season with the Brockville Braves, starting in 2006/07 as a 16 yr. old.  Played in the 2006/2007 CJHL Prospects Game (Rookie All-Star Game). 2006/2007 Award for Top Brockville Minor Hockey Graduate. Invited to the Junior ‘A’ Team Canada East Mini Camp in 2007, 2008 and 2009.  Drafted (2006) by the Mississauga Ice Dogs (now the Niagara Ice Dogs) of the OHL.  MacLean was offered the opportunity with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL for the 2009/10 season. Respectfully declined OHL and QMJHL opportunities to pursue NCAA
