The Quad City Mallards had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the St. Charles Chill.

Gergo Nagy was all over the ice for Quad City, as he had two goals in the win. Nagy's tallies came at 10:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City and on the power play 19:09 into the third to make the score 5-0 Quad City.

The Mallards was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Quad City gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. The 36 shots that the Mallards put on net surpassed Quad City's average of 28.6 shots per game this season.
