The Missouri Mavericks, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Missouri and clinched a 3-2 victory. The Arizona Sundogs stifled the Mavericks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Arizona put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.4 it averages per game. The Sundogs found themselves short handed often, totaling 23 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays. Arizona was helped by Sebastien Geoffrion, who grabbed one goal. Geoffrion scored 16:30 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Missouri. Arizona also got a goal from Justin Pender as well. In addition, Arizona received assists from Kevin Baker, who had one.
