GAME RECAP

Bruins uses early goal to top Leafs, 1-0

Lincoln Icebox Arena    Tue, Oct 30, 2012

Bruins took the lead against Leafs in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 1-0 victory.

A goal 1:00 into the the first period by Luke Schenn proved to be the game winner, and powered Bruins to the victory.

Bruins was led by Schenn, who registered one goal.

Leafs' defense shut down Bruins' forwards for much of the game, and Bruins got off only four shots during the contest.

Leafs managed to stay out of the box for the most part, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Even so, Leafs surpassed its low season average of 1.0 penalty minutes per game. Leafs found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 10 shots against Bruins' defense.

James Reimer recorded 10 saves for Bruins. Bruins finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-1 with the man advantage. Leafs' Tim Thomas stopped three shots out of the four that he faced. Leafs registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
