Laredo holds on for 4-3 win against ArizonaLaredo Energy Arena Sun, Mar 11, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Arizona Sundogs tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Laredo Bucks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Laredo made the score 4-2 on a goal by Matt Hanson at 2:14 in the third period, and Arizona got as close as 4-3 when Luke Erickson scored 6:35 into the third period. The Bucks were led by Hanson, who tallied one goal. Laredo managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Bucks ended up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. With 30 shots on target during the contest, Laredo exceeded the 21.7 shots it averages per game this year. The Bucks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Laredo also got points from Adam Rivet, who also registered one goal and one assist and colin mcintosh, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Justin Styffe also scored for Laredo. In addition, Laredo received assists from Rusty Masters, Ryan Sparling, Matt Boyd, Joseph Harcharik, and A.J. Hau, who each chipped in one.
