Giosa's big game bests Arizona in 7-3 Quad City win

Eric Giosa had two goals and two assists to lead the Quad City Mallards to a 7-3 victory over the Arizona Sundogs.

Giosa found the back of the net 17:36 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Quad City and again while on the power play 19:32 into the second to make the score 4-1 Quad City.

Quad City forced Sundogs' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 37 shots and forcing 30 saves. Scott Reid made 24 stops and Mike Spillane made six. The Mallards found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Quad City averages three goals per game. The Mallards got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Quad City additionally got points from Shane Lovdahl, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
