Wichita holds on for 2-1 win against Quad City

The Quad City Mallards tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Wichita Thunder would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

Wichita made the score 2-0 on a goal by Matt Robinson at 3:33 in the third period, and Quad City got as close as 2-1 when Matt Duffy scored 13:43 into the third period.

The Thunder were boosted by Bryan Hogan, who turned in a shutout with 28 saves. The solid play of Hogan will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.03.

The 28 shots that Wichita put on net surpassed the Thunder's average of 22 shots per game this season.
