Update on 2020 BMBA House League Season

Dear BMBA families,

     Firstly, we hope that during these uncertain times that you and your family have been staying safe.  BMBA realizes that these are unprecedent times and a life full of uncertainty is not an easy one.

     Our executive board has been staying on top of all the government levels decisions and waiting patiently for them to hopefully decide in favor for a summer with baseball in it.  With the recent update by Premier Ford to extend the State of Emergency until July 15, 2020, we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 2020 House League Season.  We are optimistic for next season and will spend the next several months continuing to plan and devise a safe way to make playing in 2021 possible.

     If the gathering limit is increased by the Provincial government and the City of Brantford approves, BMBA will look at holding summer clinics to help our players to enjoy some outdoor activity, while working on baseball fundamentals.  We will obviously ensure that all safety and social distancing measures are adhered to based on recommendations from our governing bodies in baseball, the Brant County Health Unit and by the City of Brantford.

     BMBA has appreciated all the support and patience from our families and we hope to have your support moving forward.  For our families we would like to offer two (2) options for those who have paid for the 2020 House League season.  Please respond by Friday July 10th:

1. Hold your registration fee with us for the 2021 season guaranteeing the 2020 registration fee price for the same division and if a player is moving up a division, we will honor the price difference for 2020 costs (ie. Moving from Rally Cap to Rookie is a $30 fee difference); or
2. Request a refund of the 2020 registration fee

If you choose to hold your registration, if we are able to run any summer clinics as a thank you your player would be able to participate free of charge.

For families requesting a refund we will hold a couple of pickup dates at Cockshutt Park for families to pickup their cheques.  We will send another email in the next couple of days with information on how to receive your refund.

     We will continue to keep you up to date on any league developments, upcoming clinics, etc., that we may be able to procced with.

     Again, we hope that all of our BMBA families are staying safe and are healthy.  We appreciate all your support and looking forward to seeing you on the field again, one day soon we hope.
