Danbury hung tough with the New Bedford Bay Sox before allowing two runs in the seventh inning, which was the difference in a 5-3 loss on Monday.
New Bedford struck first in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs against Westerners starter Derek Duffy. The righty would get hit again in the following inning, putting Danbury in a 3-0 hole after five innings.
However, the best hitting team in the NECBL would find a way to tie the game on RBIs from Vinny Bailey, Isaiah Dubon and Nick Lorusso to knot things at three.
Danbury turned to the bullpen after Duffy went six strong innings. Joe Vail would relieve him and promptly give up two runs, once again putting the Westerners behind. This time, it was a hole they could not get out of.
The loss marks the sixth in a row for Danbury, who turn around and prepare for a doubleheader against division rival Newport Tuesday afternoon.
