EAST COAST SHOWDOWN WEEKEND

This weekend the Warriors will be competing in the East Coast Showdown down at IceWorks in Aston, Pa. The weekend will include 3 games total, with the first two being two big league games against Widener and Catholic. The Warriors are completing their season series with Widener on Friday at 12:15pm on Rink 4. The two squads had just competed on November 5th at Revolution Ice Centre with the Warriors getting the 5-4 win. Both teams sit very close in the DVCHC American East Division standings with ESU in second place at 4-2-1 with 9 points while Widener sits in 4th place with a record of 3-3-0 and 6 points. The top 3 teams in the American East and American West divisions clinch a berth into the playoffs.

Then on Saturday the Warriors will be playing their second league game of the weekend when they face off with Catholic University at 7:15pm on Rink 3. This will be the only meeting between these two teams this season with Catholic being the home team on the neutral ice. Catholic comes into the game with an overall record of 1-9-0 and a league record of 1-6-0, their only win coming in a 7-6 victory over Shippensburg. They will be coming off a late night contest against Gannon University on Friday.

Finally, the Warriors will be taking on a new opponent in Radford University on Sunday morning at 9:30am on Rink 4. Radford comes into the contest with a 2-7-0 record. They will be facing off with The Citadel on Friday at 9:15pm and PSU Harrisburg on Saturday at 11:15am. The Warriors will be hoping to be going for the East Coast Showdown Championship during this game. How the tournament is scored is listed below. After this the Warriors will enjoy their turkey break and then have one last game left in the semester against Johns Hopkins at home on December 3rd at 2:00pm.
