High School: Played three seasons of prep baseball at Bloom-Carroll High School. Ranked No. 147 in the nation among prep seniors, was the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio and the No. 2 righty pitcher in the state by Perfect Game. Two-time First Team All-State selection and Central Ohio Pitcher of the Year honoree. Was also two-time league player of the year, three-time first team all-league, two-time district player of the year and three-time first team all-district selection. Was 7-0 with a 0.74 ERA and 42 strikeouts as a prep senior and was 9-0 with a 0.39 ERA and 75 strikeouts during junior season. Hit .356 with two home runs and 31 RBI at the plate as a senior after hitting .363 with two home runs and 29 RBI as a junior. Won the Division II state championship during junior season at Bloom-Carroll. Was a three-year letterwinner in basketball while earning second team all-district honors twice and first team all-league accolades three times. Also earned two letters as a prep quarterback.

Personal: Born on Oct. 16, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio. Parents are Paul and Natalie Bordner. Has three younger siblings – Daniel, Meredith and Trey. Majoring in pre-business. Signed with Louisville after also strongly considering Michigan, Kent State, West Virginia and Kentucky. After college, he would like to play baseball professionally and eventually own his own business. People with the greatest influence on his athletic career are his dad and pop-pop. Hobbies and interests include fishing, camping and basketball. Favorite movie is Coach Carter. Favorite TV show is Prison Break. Favorite athlete is Randy Johnson. Favorite cereal is Cap’n Crunch. Favorite candy bar is Milky Way. Dad Paul played collegiate baseball at Seminole State Community College and his mom Natalie played collegiate basketball at Ashland University.
