Mann comes to Newport following his freshman season for the Louisville Cardinals, where he appeared in 37 games, making 19 starts, and finished with a .310 batting average, 17 RBI, and a .417 OBP.
Ranked by Perfect Game as the 18th best third baseman nationally for the Class of 2015, he is ranked as the No. 1 third baseman in the state of Indiana.
While at Columbus North High School, he received All-State honors as a shortstop in 2015, earned All-State honorable mentions in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, and was a two-time Area Player of the Year. He is the career leader in batting average (.449), runs (118), hits (150), doubles (36), triples (10), home runs (20), RBI (111), and stolen bases (92) at Columbus North. He is the son of Bill and Diana Mann, and his favorite baseball team is the Boston Red Sox.
