This spring season, his first with the Jayhawks, Goddard appeared in 20 games with 14 starts. He pitched a total of 55.2 innings, allowing 47 earned runs and recorded 27 strikeouts.

Perfect Game ranks Goddard as the 142nd best RHP nationally, but more impressively he is ranked as the 5th best prospect in the State of Oklahoma and 4th best right-handed pitcher. 

While at Holland Hall High School, Goddard was four-time letter winner in baseball, where he pitched a no-hitter against Fort Worth Country Day in his junior year, and holds the record for strikeouts in a single game in Oklahoma. He is the son of Keith and Beth Goddard, and he plans to major in sports management at Kansas.
