2014 (Sophomore): Burgess appeared in five games for the Tars, earning a starting spot on one occasion – St. Thomas Aquinas (3/12)…logged 10.1 innings on the bump with three strikeouts…posted a season-high two strikeouts against St. Thomas Aquinas, along with a career-high 7.0 innings of work; also earned the win (1-0)…allowed no walks in 4-of-5 of his appearances…in his first appearance of the season against University of the Sciences (3/6), worked 1.0 inning and did not allow a hit, run or walk...Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll...SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll...Spring Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

2013 (Freshman): The right-hander made 10 appearances for the Tars, including two starts, as he culminated a 5.57 ERA and a 2-0 record...tossed 21.0 total innings, striking out 15 batters...struck out a career-high seven against Stonehill (3/4)...threw a career-best 6.0 innings in back-to-back appearances against Stonehill and Bridgeport (3/13).

High School:  Spent three years at South Plantation High School and concluded his prep career at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory...during his junior season, posted a 1.27 ERA with an 11-7 record in 66 innings of work...posted a WHIP of 0.73, which ranked first in the district, and registered 80 strikeouts (second in district)...noted that his key moment during his junior season was when he led off a game with a home run and pitched a no-hitter.
