Adams returns to Somerset after spending half of the 2010 season playing in the Mexican League, where he finished with a 2-0 record, 1.07 ERA, and 16 strikeouts in 42 innings pitched.
Adams has spent the past three seasons with the Patriots.
In 2009, he finished with a 13-8 record, 4.61 ERA, and 120 strikeouts in 27 games. In 2008 he went 11-7 with a 4.92 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 26 games for the Patriots.
Adams finished the 2007 season with a 15-2 record, 3.68 ERA, and 117 strikeouts in 26 games and was named the 2007 Atlantic League Pitcher of the Year.
He has five seasons of experience with the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers organizations, reaching as high as the Double-A Level. Adams has a 62-37 career minor league record, 3.81 ERA, and 653 strikeouts in 325 games.
He has been a part of two championship teams during his time in Somerset and is the Patriots All-Time Career Wins leader with 39.
