The West Chicago H.S. grad was a 30th round pick of the Texas Rangers in the 2012 draft out of Purdue University.  He started out 2013 in Rookie ball before moving all the way up to AA Frisco.  Serrato spent the majority of last summer in Low A Spokane where he had an on-base percentage of .317 with 2 homers and 19 rbis in 50 games.  He was a two-time All-Big Ten outfielder for the Boilermakers and had 49 rbis in his senior season, 27 of which came with two outs.
