This is Baynun’s second TWL season. Led the TWL in pitching starts in 2013 with six, primarily throwing an ephus pitch and knuckleball. Was 1 for 18 as a batter. Hit .118 (4 for 34) in Arizona Winter League in 2012 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs, and one walk. Participates in Curt Schilling’s annual 100-inning game for ALS in Quincy every year, going 11 for 25 in this year’s game. His mother, Sandy Miller, grew up around baseball, often going to Red Sox games with Ted Williams and Johnny Pesky. A professional blues musician who plays bass and six-string guitar who entertained the TWL in their postgame banquet with his rendition of self-written song, “I Love You Louisiana.”
