Pre MSU:  Spent four seasons at Central Michigan prior to joining Mavericks…Redshirted freshman season and lettered freshman and junior seasons…Finished 2011 season 3-3 with 2.96 ERA and 24 and 1/3 innings pitched in 16 appearances…Sat out sophomore season due to Tommy John surgery on his right elbow…Also pitched for Eau Claire Express of the Northwoods League for two summers…In 2011, went 2-2 with four saves, 3.92 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 43 and 2/3 innings pitched for the Express.

High School:  As a senior, all-state dream team and all-state pitcher… Helped team advance to the baseball state high school championship game…Team MVP of baseball and basketball teams…U.S. Army Scholar Athlete award winner.

Personal:  Born July 12, 1989...Son of Jim and Karen Martin…Hobbies include fishing and hanging out with family and friends…Proposed sport management graduate student.
