John Walter, originally from Haddonfield, New Jersey joins the MoonDogs as a representative from Penn State University.  The junior appeared in 14 games this year for the Nittany Lions with 79.2 innings pitched recording 79 strikeouts.  Walters was Third Team All-Big Ten in 2011 after ranking in the top ten in wins, ERA, innings pitched, and strikeouts.  Walter’s favorite television show is Entourage, and his favorite professional team is the Philadelphia Phillies.
