Went to Saint Mary’s College after Antioch High School where he was a First Team All-Bay Valley Athletic League selection in 2009...the right-handed pitcher had 16 appearances in his senior season, collected six wins (two of them complete games), struck out 68, and had a 2.91 ERA...in the classroom, he was recognized as a scholar-athlete in all three of his seasons on the varsity squad. Transfered to Diablo Valley Community College following his freshman year.
