Coach Fleenor has added one of his best pitchers to the 2009 Bombers roster.  Derrick Raybon has won12 games during his two USC Sumter seasons to earn a place in the Division I Virginia Commonwealth Rams baseball program this Fall. VCU coach Paul Keyes said, “Derrick possesses one of the best junior college arms in the Southeast.  He has a low 90’s fastball to go along with his bulldog mentality.”  The big right-hander averaged a strikeout per inning during his two Fire Ant seasons.  He joins two other Rams on the Bombers roster – Doug Otto and Joe Van Meter who will be his teammates next season.
