A returner to the Bats after an impactful 2022 summer in Keene, Rice comes to the Granite State this summer after an impressive first year at Division II Missouri Southern State that saw him hit .341 with a 1.024 OPS in his first 49 games (47 starts).  Included in his torrid numbers were 10 home runs, 41 RBI, and a .573 slugging percentage.  He drove in at least three runs in a game seven times with the Lions.  Last year, he came to the Bats after a season with the University of Missouri where he appeared in 15 games and started six.  With the Bats, he was the usual first baseman and hit seven home runs, six doubles, and drove in 21 runs in 34 games while also seeing time on the mound, where he had a 1.58 ERA and struck out 14 in 17 innings.  He is majoring in Marketing at MSSU.
