Kubitz has been a key member of St. Cloud State's bullpen as freshman this spring, amassing a 3-1 record and a 1.88 earned run average through 21 relief appearances. Chris received varsity letters for three years in both Baseball and Soccer at Shakopee High school. Kubitz also earned All- Conference honors in both sports. He heralded Team MVP honors. This was accompanied by Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Chris also displays dedication to his education. Kubitz studied his way to a spot on Shakopee's honor roll in all four years there. He is a National Scholar Athlete. He lists Derek Jeter as his favorite sports personality. Chris threw a one-hitter against #1 ranked Prior Lake, striking out 12 batters. He lists this memory as one of his biggest sports thrills.
