Right-handed pitcher Philip Bartleski joins the Jackals for his fifth season of professional baseball in 2011. 

Bartleski, who was acquired from the Grand Prairie AirHogs of the American Association, spent the first four years of his career in the Yankees organization.  Bartleski reached as high as Double-A Trenton in 2009 after posting a 2-1 record with a 2.86 ERA in 16 appearances for Class A Tampa.  His best season came in 2008 in Tampa when he went 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA in 29 appearances, as he allowed just 35 hits in 55 innings pitched. 

The 28-year-old was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Yankees in 2007 after finishing his collegiate career at Oklahoma City University.  In 100 career appearances, the Virginia native has a 3.38 ERA over the course of 184 innings.
