Leahy returns for his second season with the Waterloo Bucks. As a Buck in 2016, the right-hander made three starts on the mound going 1-1 while compiling a 4.50 ERA in 16 innings pitched. Leahy struck out nine batters in Northwoods League play and recorded one complete game. At Colorado Mesa, Leahy had a stellar sophomore season to say the least. Leahy was undefeated in the 2017 regular season at 11-0 with a 1.21 ERA in 89.1 innings of work. He fanned 79 batters helping him be named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year while being a member of the RMAC All-First Team. At Erie High School in Boulder, Colo., Leahy played in the Futures Game at Coors Field and was Boulder County Player of the Year.
