Pat Guinane drove in the winning run to give the Slippery Rock Sliders (3-5) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Slippery Rock Sliders hung on to beat the Chillicothe Paints (4-5) 7-4 on Thursday.

Mike Porcaro was hit by a pitch to start the eighth. He then went from first to third on a single by Ryan Abernathy. Finally, Guinane came to the plate with the score tied at four, and singled, bringing home Porcaro and Porcaro.

Jason Revesz shut down the Chillicothe Paints while he was on the mound. The Chillicothe Paints managed just one hit off of Revesz, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Mike Dodakain (0-1) took the loss for the Chillicothe Paints. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
