Both the Sonoma County Grapes (13-25) and the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (19-19) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Sonoma County Grapes that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at Iron Maehara Stadium.

The Sonoma County Grapes staved off the Maui Na Koa Ikaika as the Maui Na Koa Ikaika were unable to match the Sonoma County Grapes down the stretch.

The Maui Na Koa Ikaika scored on an RBI triple by Gered Mochizuki in the sixth inning and a sacrifice fly by Mark Okano in the ninth inning. Still, the Maui Na Koa Ikaika couldn't draw even.

George Ban did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Sonoma County Grapes, reaching base two times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Matthew Gibbs recorded his third win of the year for the Sonoma County Grapes. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Mike Williams ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
