Cinoman's effort not enough in the Northwest Indiana Oilmen's 5-3 loss

Jack Cinoman both hit and pitched well for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (28-16), but it wasn't enough as the Northwest Indiana Oilmen fell to the Southland Vikings 5-3 at Homewood HS on Sunday.

Cinoman led the Northwest Indiana Oilmen's offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the ninth inning.

Cinoman looked sharp on the mound. Cinoman held the Southland Vikings (20-23) hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

It was a good day at the plate for the Southland Vikings' Elliott Armstrong. Armstrong went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Noah Anderson improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Southland Vikings. Anderson struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

Tait Rauen (1-3) took the loss for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
