An awesome effort by Brett Maus hoisted the DuPage County Hounds (19-18) to a 4-1 win over the Rockford Foresters (8-30) on Saturday at Benedictine Stadium.
Maus picked up the win for the DuPage County Hounds. Maus allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.
Charles Gould led the DuPage County Hounds' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
Jacob Lanning couldn't get it done on the mound for the Rockford Foresters, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
