Five first-inning runs helped the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (23-13) to a 10-5 win over the DuPage County Hounds (18-18) at Brennan Field on Friday.
Bennett Oliver racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He tripled in the first and second innings and singled in the third inning.
Joey White put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the DuPage County Hounds. He doubled in the first and seventh innings.
Danny Britt got the win, running his season record to 6-1. He allowed three runs over six innings. Britt struck out two, walked two and gave up seven hits.
Nick Woltkamp (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out one.
